Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sunstone Location

  • By farming them from enemies near Dragonsbreath Tower
  • By purchasing them from Mubarak

Grim Ogres, Serpents, and Gorechimeras all spawn around the Dragonsbreath Tower in the Battahl area, so you can try to farm them first. Keep in mind that Sunstones don’t drop very often, so it will probably take you a while to farm everything you need, especially since you have to wait for them to return.

It’s also possible to mine the metal that’s spread out around Dragonsbreath Tower, but this is also up to chance.

You can also buy a Sunstone from Mubarak in the north of Battahl for 3,000 gold. The tricky part is that Mubarak is a traveling dealer of beasts, so his position will change over time. He likes to walk along the roads in northern Battahl, so keep an eye out for a beastren carrying a pack.

It’s also important to know that Mubarak might not have Sunstones, and you’ll have to check his collection every two or three days in-game. What Sunstone Is Used For

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can improve and update your gear with sunstone. At the time this was written, these are the only things I could find that need Sunstone to be upgraded:

How to Get, Use and Upgrade the Sunstone in Dragons Dogma 2

  • Vermundian Heaven’s Key
  • Battahli Heaven’s Key
  • Elven Heaven’s Key
  • Dwarven Heaven’s Key
  • Vermundian Dragon’s Breath
  • Elven Dragon’s Breath

If you’re not planning on using any of the above items, you won’t need any Sunstone.

And that’s all you need to know to get Sunstone in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and use it.

How to Use the Sunstone in Dragons Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a lot of rare making materials, and Sunstone is one of them. You can find this one in a few different spots on the map, but you’ll need several pieces to get the most out of your gear. Unfortunately, there isn’t a place where you can be sure that the monsters that have it will spawn, and the same goes for the mining spots. You can still check some places, though, and we’ll help you figure that out.

Knowing where to find Sunstone will make your life a lot easier in Dragon’s Dogma 2, even though you won’t need any in large amounts. Let’s learn more about this subject and find this very rare but useful resource.

Sunstone is a very rare gemstone, which is a shame. At the moment, Dragonsbreath Tower is the only place where it is known to spawn in a mining node. It’s not hard to find the tower once you get to Bakbattahl from the Checkpoint Rest Town. You can get to the tower by going down the southwest road.

There are a few start points near the tower, but you’ll probably only find a few each time you come here. When you look at the map above, you can see how to get from Bakbattahl to where the character cursor is in the southwest. This will help you find the tower. In Dragon’s Dogma 2, there are several places where you might find Sunstone, but it’s best to look around the whole area because you can’t be sure of where you’ll find it.

An enemy or two in the world may also drop Sunstone, but the chance is about the same as the chances you normally find these monsters. A strong making item called this can drop from Serpents (10%), Grim Ogres (8.33%), and Gorechimeras (10.52%).

You can hunt those monsters, but it will probably be easier to farm Sunstone in Dragon’s Dogma 2 at Dragonsbreath Tower and wait for the mining nodes to return. There are Grim Ogres all over the Bakbattahl area, but they’re not very common. If you’re going to hunt them, don’t forget to bring Ice Magic.

At this point, we only know that these monsters come from the cave near the Griffin Crash Site. They’re hard to find and very strong, so they’re not good for growing.

If you want to get Sunstone in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can also get it from the trader Mubarak. You can find this traveling trader in Northern Battahl. He can sell Sunstone for 3,000 gold each, but he can only have one at a time. Besides that, it takes him four days to restock, so it’s not really worth going after him over and over to find it.
